If you have ever been to St. Elmo Steakhouse in Indianapolis, you have probably had their famous shrimp cocktail. You can purchase their cocktail sauce here, or make it yourself with the recipe below.
WHAT'S IN IT:
- 1 1/2 cups Heinz Ketchup
- 1 large fresh horseradish, grated
- 1 1/2 cups cider vinegar
- Shrimp, deveined and cooked (steamed, baked or grilled)
- 1 lemon
MAKE IT:
- Peal and grate the horseradish into a bowl
- Add cider vinegar to grated horseradish so horseradish is completely covered. Cover with plastic and let this mixture soak overnight.
- Drain the horseradish and combine with ketchup.
- Slice lemon into wedges and use for garnish.
