Traditional Jewish delis that at one time could be found on every New York City block can be hard to come by these days. Rein's New York Style Deli has everything you might be missing. Located in Connecticut, off of the Hartford Turnpike, they have a sit down restaurant and a takeout area for sandwiches and deli items on the go. The sandwiches are packed high and the traditional Jewish favorites like matzoh ball soup and smoked whitefish are on display. If you're passing through the area, do yourself a favor and make a stop here. Oh, and don't leave without some of their homemade pickles.
